At ABQ Doulas, our collective comprises professionally trained and certified doulas who are deeply committed to evidence-based care, emotional presence, and unwavering support. We believe every family deserves to feel informed, respected, and empowered throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey.

Rooted in Compassion, Backed by Training

Our doulas are certified through reputable training organizations and continue their education in areas such as trauma-informed care, spinning babies techniques, lactation basics, and culturally responsive support. We respect your providers and work collaboratively within your birth team.

We do not replace medical care - we enhance it.

Support for Every Pregnancy

Whether your pregnancy is considered low-risk, high-risk, planned, unexpected, hospital-based, birth center, or home birth, our doulas are equipped to walk beside you.

We provide:

  • Prenatal support - Education, birth planning, comfort technique practice, partner preparation, and personalized guidance for your unique pregnancy.

  • High-risk pregnancy support - Extra emotional support, informed advocacy preparation, help navigating provider conversations, and grounding presence through uncertainty.

  • Labor & birth support - Physical, emotional, and informational support. We offer comfort measures, positioning, reassurance, and steady encouragement for both the birthing person and the partner.

  • Cesarean birth support - Calm preparation, surgical birth education, OR support when permitted, and intentional postpartum transitional care.

  • VBAC support - Evidence-based education and emotional encouragement for families planning vaginal birth after cesarean.

  • Postpartum care - Gentle in-home support including recovery care, newborn guidance, feeding support, sibling adjustment, and nurturing the whole family as you settle in.
